As the efforts of Shoot For A’s continues to grow, we will be provide ongoing updates on how your contributions are being utilized. In this effort, our teacher participants are encouraged to share their successes with us. Channahon School District 17
Grant money is being used to purchase high tech equipment for six, seventh and eight grade science labs including a projector that projects 3-D images from a photographic microscope, document cameras and LCD projectors.
Minooka School District 201
Several projects will be started with grant money including establishing a Weatherbug weather station and a school beautification program in conjunction with the Environmental Club, as well as digital microscopes and equipment for labs and demonstrations to help students understand and apply their knowledge of physical science concepts.
Troy School District 30C
Funding will be used for a Prairie Project that will provide hands-on environmental learning, they will invest in math skill building modules, purchase digital microscopes, plus invest in science curriculum enhancements for ESL students.
